The Ohio CDFI Network works to raise awareness of CDFIs in Ohio, build relationships between CDFI professionals and other potential partners, and connect CDFIs to potential deals.
The Network:
Regularly act as a matchmaker connecting appropriate CDFIs with communities and organizations that are ready to do development but need to identify sources of capital.
Educate targeted groups on how CDFIs can be a beneficial partner in their work. So far, this list includes: local banks, foundations, economic development professionals, and community development groups.
Conduct strategic outreach to senior level officials within state government agencies to build relationships, increase administrative knowledge of CDFIs, and pursue ways that CDFIs can help achieve agency goals.
Facilitate CDFI peer information exchanges through in-person meetings selectively scheduled not to increase burdens on member’s already-busy schedules.
Publicize the collective impact of the CDFI industry in Ohio to demonstrate the important role they play in our state.
Create marketing materials to educate key groups on what CDFIs in Ohio do and why it matters.
Advocate collectively in support of federal appropriations to the CDFI Fund.
